Re: Conference in April -- concerns?

Internet2 has canceled a couple of conferences. Internet2 has canceled its big Global Summit in Indianapolis and CENIC 
an Internet2 regional network on the West Coast has canceled its conference in Monterey, CA.  Those are states that are 
not as impacted as Washington. Plus my wife and kids said “Hell NO!”.  So I will not be attending. There is always next 
year!

I am in a wait and see mode due to outside scheduling conflicts that have come up.  The CoVID 19 alarms have added to 
my hesitation to register quite yet.

It’s probably too late to set up a virtual attendance option, but I’d certainly be in favor of registering if I were 
able to remotely attend sessions.  I’d hate to miss out on a trip to Washington, but having access to the great content 
of the SPC and RIMM would be a good alternative.

Hello,

I plan to attend the conference as well as RIMM, and my college age daughter will be attending with me as well on an IT 
Cyber scholarship. At this time, I don’t see the risk as being any more than what we are both in everyday at the 
university.

I plan to attend SPC and RIMM, wash my hands often, carry hand sanitizer, and shake fewer hands. At this stage, I don’t 
see the risk to my demographic to be much higher than the flu viruses floating around me every day on a college campus.
