Dear Educator,

The Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and
Security (CERIAS) and Purdue University are now accepting applications
to the Information Assurance Education Graduate Certificate Program
(IAEGC). The IAEGC is an 11 credit hour graduate certificate program
for college and university educators who want to develop Information
Assurance (IA) programs at their institutions. This project is funded
by the National Security Agency (NSA) with the goal of filling the need
for trained faculty to develop and teach Information Assurance programs
at colleges and universities across the nation. As a result of the NSA
grant, selected applicants will receive tuition, fees, and room and
board expenses. The deadline for applications is April 5, 2004. More
information and an application are available online at
http://www.cerias.purdue.edu/iae

CERIAS will also be offering 2 bootcamps. Cisco Systems and the
Critical Infrastructure Assurance Group recently announced the
availability of a Security Bootcamp for Professors. The program is
designed to enhance Information Assurance instructors' knowledge and
professional development in the area of network and host security.
College, university, and community college professors and instructors
involved in Information Assurance instruction are invited to attend this
free training program. Housing assistance will not be provided during
the bootcamp. More information and an application are available online
At http://www.cerias.purdue.edu/bootcamp

CERIAS will also be offering a 1-week faculty development program for
undergraduate faculty who are concerned with integrating ethical,
social, security, and professional practice uses into the undergraduate
computer science or computer engineering program. More information is
available at http://www.cerias.purdue.edu/protecting_information

Questions should be addressed to Lori Floyd at laf () cerias purdue edu,
