How do you know who is using what browser? I could see why you may want to not support certain browsers, but there is no way to prevent people from using rogue browsers. There are open-source web browsers out there that programmers can modify to identify themselves in any way (and do anything with the data that's being received from the web site). We provide extensive information and access to our systems using web products. We have a policy that we must certify browsers before we allow them to be used to access our data. Furthermore, we require that we can "turn off" caching before we certify a browser. We have been unable to figure out a way to turn off caching in Safari. Has anyone run into this problem before? =========================================== Stephen Patrick Executive Director of Computing and Programming Services ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Discussion Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/cg/.
