I think you should be aware that ICQ99 is a BETA release. IT IS NOT
INTENDED FOR USE BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Do not report the bug to Bugtraq,
but instead, do what you agreed to when downloading ICQ99, report it to
ICQ so that they can fix the bug in the general release. That's the
purpose of BETA.

After arguing with myself for a few minutes deciding wether or not to
give the 31337 hax0rs of the world a way to crash ICQ99, I came to the
decision that I dont care. This bug was tested on windows95 and with
ICQ version 99a build #1700. My guess is that it affects all versions
of 99.
While playing with the personal web server that is built into ICQ99, I
just had an amazing urge to break it. Basically, I put 300 periods
onto the end of the address for my ICQ homepage.
Example:
I have the ICQ webserver running and I enter
"http://209.37.153.39/...................(and so on..../" into
Netscape, and ICQ crashed. I am going to test this further tonight and
will update this some more. Another guess is that since it crashes
ICQ, but not the webserver, is that if you do the same to the ICQ
homepages that are stored on http://members.icq.com, it will also
crash. (granted they have the page stored there)
