Re: connecting lynx up with ssl certificates

The version of lynx that debian released was already compiled to work with ssl. The problem was when lynx was built the building was done to take advantage of a support library that did things in a different way so you get the no common name in certificate continue? error when accessing ssl pages with lynx. Fortunately one of the debian developers released a patched version that eliminates this problem and I now have it working on this machine.
