Re: advice for CEH certification

Some certs are more highly regarded than others, from what I've seen the CEH isn't very high on the list. When I took the CEH exam last year (yes I passed) it was very dated, maybe back to 1999-2000 time frame. Their official study book was near impossible to read as it had so may grammar errors, I'm glad the book was lent to me. I don't recommend the book or the exam. I took the exam as it was a prerequisite for another course.

Read, study and practice.  Certs are paper and knowledge is power.

A big NO-NO ! Don't go in for CEH.

If you're looking for a good certification I'd suggest OSPA and OSPT instead of CEH.
