I have always thought Cisco Press publishes some rather detail books on WAN
Technologies (Usually way more than you would ever need)

You could start here:

...covers most WAN technologies and would give you an idea as to what best
fits your organizations needs.

Like we do here, you can get Sonicwall firewalls

And link them with VPN (Virtual private network)

It's really easy to setup/use and it's transparent for the users.
