Ryan,

We have a similar system here, minus the Windows for now.  I believe we
are using syslog for the information.  The problem is ensure you have
enoug band width on the syslog server and the disk subsystem where your
data resides is up to the task.

Has anyone ever had experience with a large scale environment using
centralized logging? 
I am researching centralized syslog servers for network, Linux/Unix, and
Windows combined. The data would be stored in SQL.
I am looking at syslog-ng, but I would like to know how others have
designed
the data and any tools that may do any sort of reporting. 

Google seems to have a limited list of options
