I just want to hope everybody does this, thinking of a laptop, even if the switch is just in my appartment complex, just lying there pushing off all my data to some other network, well that makes me mad. People remember to lock up your switches and or alarm them for port additions. --K-sPecial ----- Original Message ----- From: Logan Rogers-Follis <logan () tntnetworx net> Date: Wed, 13 Aug 2003 18:08:30 -0600 To: Meidinger Chris <chris.meidinger () badenit de> Subject: Re: Network scanning
They must have had one really insecure location for there stuff, eh? Personal like is why I like to have at least a locked cabinet mounted to the wall if a full sized, enclosed rack is not needed. That way you can provide some protection for your equipment in an insecure location.Meidinger Chris wrote: >>It would be sort of odd for someone to go in a back room and pull out a>> >>>computer, whip it up on the switch and proceed to fire up ethereal. > >Actually it's much more common than you think.
