RE: Spy Software & Internet/Email Monitoring

To answer some questions regarding my original posts "Spy Software",
although the employee contract was sketchy about monitoring, we did inform
all users of the systems that they will be monitored while using company
time. Also, we had them sign a new contract, so we can legally monitor them
'oops on that old one'.

The software was to originally be used to find out just what certain two
employee's were doing with company information, we found out that they were
using it to start their own company. The stole just about every form our
company uses, and the exact original business proposals to the banks.. etc..

The didnt' get fired simply because there was nobody to replace them, but
with the new contract, they could not use the information in any way to
start their own company.

Now the software is used a lot to track down errors and lazyness. We found
out one of the employee's does nothing but watch movie trailers, listen to
music, and chats... alll day.

I have seen the amount of traffic the program produces when downloading
their log files, and I doubt that it is being sent to the spector soft
servers. It just produces too much, but then again I have not had the
chance to capture and compare traffic from the 'infected' systems.

Thanks for the suggestions,

Richard.
