You might want to check how I handled similar situation in
packet-ftdi-mpsse.c/packet-ftdi-ft.c. I basically implemented
desegment_offset / desegment_len mechanism in the packet-ftdi-ft.c and
used that in packet-ftdi-mpsse.c.
