Hi,

at the moment, the directory for the extcap binaries is defined at
compile time.

When I first tried extcap a year ago, I created a patch to make the
extcap directory a preference. This was much easier for me to handle
when I played with several extcaps that needed frequent recompiling.

I'd like to resurrect this patch. Thoughts?

Best regards,
Martin
+1 too

+1. I was thinking about adding a location in the profile folder (like
for
plugins) but making it configurable might be even better.

It not already in About window ?
The folder is indicated in the About window, but as it is located in the
installation folder and might not be writable for all users. That's why
adding the profile folder made sense to me (as we do for plugins).

Pascal.
