That error is printed to standard error (stderr), which will normally not show up on Windows unless you have the console window set to open the console "Always (debugging)" in the GUI preferences. P.S. Please start a new e-mail to wireshark-dev () wireshark org instead of replying to a received message when starting a new topic. Your message showed in my e-mail reader to be a response to Kaul's "clang analysis" message because of mail threading in the headers (regardless of the subject line being changed).
