Hi Blueboar, all,

Today I was thinking that maybe I should find a better screen saver and I
have seen the ones that have the rotating pictues such as Webshots. I've
always been hesistant about using these due in part to my assumption they
are simply background programs listening for inactivity and the extra
.01% of processor cycles they steal ;).

But on to the vuln-dev/research: Have these programs been audited for
opening connections to the web and transmitting personal data? Programs
such as webshots pull images from the web, and it wouldn't be too hard to
slip a couple of extra packets to their servers.

Daniel

ps. I'm not trying to infere anything evil about these companies..just
better to know than blindly proceeding on.
