As for overflows... there was the twsited rumor
situation about AIM
overflows, apparantly spread by an MS employee??
Anyone ever get
verfication on that one?

wasn't there something about reverse overflows, a
few
months back, when MS was trying to link their
messenger to AIM, and AOL kept changing thier
protocols to stay ahead of them. I thought I read
something about AOL using buffer overflows to crash
the MS Client, while AIM was unnaffected, so AOL
used
it in every exchange, in order to prevent MS from
using their customers.

Sound familiar? Am I wrong? (it's been a while, I
wasn't really interested, so I only read it once, no
further research)
