Fwd: snort ips

Dear all,

My current set up is the following:

[machine 1] <=> [snort IPS] <=> [machine 2]

When I activate IPS and ping [machine 2] from [machine 1], I get (DUP)!
packet (duplicated) alethough the packet reach 2 from 1.

When IPS is disable, no problem on pings at all. It means that most
probably my setup of snort is not optimal.

Can you please advice  ?
