Question about Snort 2.9.9 and and http2

Could somebody tell me the planning release date for Snort 2.9.9?
And when and which will the last version Snort 2.9.x? because the Snort 3.0 is under develop, I suppose Snort 2.9.x 
will be phased out, is it correct?
