Hell Peter Thanks for reply . I followed the steps mentioned in your mail used output unified2: filename snort.u2 limit 128 in snort.conf and used following command to run snort /srv/snort/bin/snort -u root -g root -c /srv/snort/etc/snort.conf -i eth0 the first file created is of 156 bytes but when using same command stated snort the next files created are of 0 bytes . Even tried nmap decoy scan on snort when it running still got 0 bytes what can be the problem?
