tcpdump: can't create rx ring on packet socket: Cannot allocate memory

Hi there

I've got a 64bit fully patched CentOS-6 system running snort (happily).
However, a couple of times I've noticed "cannot allocate memory" errors
when attempting to start other sniffer software like daemonlogger or
tcpdump on the same system

eg

# tcpdump -n -i eth1 port 22
tcpdump: can't create rx ring on packet socket: Cannot allocate memory

I can run the command, have it error out with the above error, then
re-run the same command mere seconds later and it works just fine...

Anyone else seen that, and is there a cure? Oh yeah, there's no shortage
of memory on the system

Thanks
