If you are trying to build barnyard2 under an Ubuntu x64 then you should use the following path for the MySQL libraries:

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu

Again, this is for barnyard2, given the default installation of MySQL.

We have removed MySQL support from Snort as of 2.9.3.

You need to look at the docs on www.snort.org/docs
