Joel, The problem he is having is not related to the method of logging, and moving to unified2 is not going to fix his problem. I agree he should at some point move to unified2 logging. I think he has the assumption that unified2 is not logging to a database. Kindest regards, Michael... Dear Michael, Thank you for your answer. I don't need unified2 as all logs should be stored in database. Even if I configure snort.conf portscan with portscan.log file and when I set $portscan_file = '/var/log/snort/portscan.log'; BASE shows
"Portscan Traffic (0%)"
When I configure snort.conf portscan without portscan.log, I guess that it
should put log to database, and BASE should display these logs too. Am I right?
