Snort signatures description

 Hi guys,

Im developing some reports using the snort database, and I'd like to know if
its possible to find some details about the snort signatures for really
newbies.

Example:

(http_inspect) OVERSIZE REQUEST-URI DIRECTORY

This is an example of a snort signature, I'm currently looking for details
(what the signature really means, a really explanation for "casual users")
on all the snort signatures. Is it possible to find?
