snort-2.3.0RC2 wirless ability

Dear Snort Users,

I have just joined and I am new to snort.

My question is: does snort 2.3.0RC2 support wireless sniffing?

I believe an older version of snort (version 2.1.1) can be patched to do
wirless IDS.

Has the latest version of snort got this capability built into it or must i
use the older snort-2.1.1 version?
