Ignoring the general infraction of being OT, could you at least consider using a subject line that has any relation to the subject of your email? "Hi" is an absurdly worthless subject.

That said, there's no such thing in the world as "Linux 9". The latest version of Linux is 2.6.8.1, or 2.6.9.rc4, depending on how you look at it.

Did you mean RedHat 9?

perhaps you might want to check out the linux.redhat usenet group:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&group=linux.redhat

Or search around for some support groups for your distribution. Remember, google (or other websearch of your choice) is your friend. Do a little footwork before asking questions.

And when you post, include some *details* about your problem. What video card are you using? What release of X? Etc. Asking broad general questions isn't going to get you a useful answer. You've probably got a video card not supported by your aging release of X, but it's hard to say for sure. I'm no expert on the subject, and you didn't post any useful information in your question.

And what's with the 11kbytes of HTML crud in an email with 296 bytes of useful text? Oh... MS office generated mail.. Great.. Nice waste of bandwidth.
