Hi Hormann,
          There is a Script called S99snort or mysql.php3 in your contrib
directory of the Snort Source.It
do something like my snort_stat.pl does,it display your MySQL database
events from your PHP web servers.
I think,this is much easier to adopt ,also there is same function available
to deal with PostgreSQL database
