Classification of Snort-Rules into Applications

Hey all,


i'm looking for a classification of Snort-Rules. In particular for a
seperation into different applications (Linux and Windows).

I was able to get some informations from www.whitehats.com and
www.snort.org, but it was very exhausting to seperate ,for example, rules
concerning the Internet Explorer.
