Snort No Output /MYSQL error

Hi everyone-

I'm having trouble with my Snort installation I was hoping
somebody might help me. I just completed my Snort installation on Redhat
9.0. I have Snort (version 2.0.2), Apache, PHP, MYSQL and ACID
installed. This is on a test machine so I have it connected to a cable
modem. Everything seems to be working correctly until I access ACID
using a browser. The ACID page comes up ok but there is no output (its
not logging anything). I tried running a few scanners to see if Snort
would detect the scanning and nothing. I did find an error in my
/var/log/messages. When Snort starts up it comes up ok but then gets an
error. Here is an output of the error:

Mar 21 18:02:20 wsip-**-***-***-*** snort: database: 'mysql' support is
not compiled into this build of snort
Mar 21 18:02:20 wsip-**-***-***-*** snort: FATAL ERROR: If this build of
snort was obtained as a
binary distribution (e.g., rpm, or Windows), then check for alternate
builds that contains the necessary 'mysql' support. If this build of
snort was compiled by you, then re-run the the ./configure script using
the '--with-mysql' switch. For non-standard installations of a database,
the '--with-mysql=DIR' syntax may need to be used to specify the base
directory of the DB install. See the database documentation for cursory
details (doc/README.database). and the URL to the most recent database
plugin documentation.

I know when I installed Snort I used the -with-mysql switch. According
to the installation documentation here is what I used:

./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
make
make install

Would this error cause Snort not to output anything? Have I missed
something?

Thank you in advance!
