Hi Chris, When you set up your sqldb for snort, did you log into sql and give your snort user permission to access and modify the database with a *grant* statment? I think the problem is a database permissions issue rather than a file access issue. For example, being logged in as root/dba on mysql: mysql> GRANT all on snortdb.* to snortuser@localhost identified by 'password'; Test this by logging into your snortdb as snortuser from the command line. Hope this helps, Mike ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
