snort v2 syslog problems?

Been using "-s 127.0.0.1" on snort v1.9 in a Win2k environment

On snort v2 it barfs with a gpf error associated with read improper
memory.

Has that command line flag changed?  (It doesn't seem to be documented
in any of the distro files including ChangeLog.)

Anyone?
