problems with make file and mysql
From: Christopher Cook <crcook () oakland edu>

I have tried several times to make snort with mysql, but everytime I get the error "cannot find -lmysqlclient" I've tried searching the archives and the FAQ, along with some other sources, to no avail. I've installed both the client and devel rpms, and configured snort with --with-mysql. I've also tried using the -I flag and specifying directories where the files should be, also not helping. The system is running Mandrake 9.
Any help to solve this is much appreciated.
