portscan.log empty HELP !!!!11

Hi,

I have a problem. My portscan.log is empty. I think I
have everything configured well. I'm using snort 1.8.7
(RPMS) on
redhat 7.3 with mysql and acid.
I configured my snort.conf file this way:
preprocesso portscan: $HOME_NET 4 3
/var/log/snort/portscan.log
My Home_net is any.

output database: alert,mysql etc

I tried almost everything but my portscan.log still
remains empty. I have a few snort-xxx () yyyy log files
in my var/log/snort directory what does this mean?
