Tao,

Sounds like your mixing rules from 1.9.x into 1.8.7. Read the top of the
Snort.conf and see if you are working with 1.9 or 1.8. Do not mix the
rules.

Does anyone have the instruction of updating the rules of Silicon
Defense Snort 1.8.7b119? I found the Snort service can't start after
replacing the rules with the current rules (stable version) and using
the new snort.conf coming with the current rules.
