RE: snort on freebsd 4.6

I have tryed the ports collection, just updated it the other day. I does not
work on 4.6. If you are saying to start from a clean install of 4.6 w/ports
updated and run acid as the first thing. I have not tryed that. I have
recieved 5 different suggestions from creating custom make files , down
loading different lib, creating flags, installing in different orders as
well as some clown with a three point program to linux.

Have you tried using the ports?

If you use the port for ACID in /usr/ports/security/acid, it should work.
