Hi, Thankx to all buddies :D i hv compiled and installed and snort is working like a babe on Solaris 2.6(AGAIN... :D, it was my mistake!!!, i didnt replaced the old dead yacc with the bison, once i did it then everything went like an icecream perhaps more cool :D)

They both use that lex and yacc stuff. So, you need to provide the correct pointers to your new lex and yacc replacements when you compile libpcap. Before you start make sure you make distclean (or equiv) in the libpcap and snort directories. Then in libpcap, run the configure with switches that show where your yacc and lex are, and then make all and possibly install depending on how you do things. Finally, do same for snort. Good luck.
