You don't need IDS center at all.. Install winpcap; install snort for Win32; run from a DOS box. Simply configure with a text editor. (heh.. problem is, without a GUI fronted that has checkboxes and all, you *really* need to know *how* to cofigure snort...) Works great: less filling. I have been looking for a Win32 port of Snort, but the only thing I have been able to find on the www.Snort.org web site is the Snort for Windows, which includes IDSCenter. IDSCenter is fine for a GUI interface, but I prefer the plain old command line version. Can anyone help me find a Win32 port of Snort without any add-ons? Thanks, Djinn
