I would recommend using Nessus, www.nessus.org
From the intro page:
"The "Nessus" Project aims to provide to the internet community a free, powerful, up-to-date and easy to use remote security scanner" You can also write your own plugins etc. Packetfactory also has som nice tools, check http://www.packetfactory.net/projects.html Regards Jonas Eriksson On Sat, 29 Sep 2001, Chris Grout wrote:
I'm assuming your not asking for vulnerability scanners, since there's hundreds of them out there. To create specific packets, there are quite a few decent products and scripts out there, but the one I use most is probably NAI's CyberCop Scanner's CASL app. Easy to use and can generate packets munged any way you choose. I found tcprelay to transmit tcpdump files but it would not compile on my RH 7.1 box :-(
