running snort with daemontools

does anyone know what happend to http://simonbs.com/snort.php resp. to
the "running snort with daemontools"-howto? did he just forget to pay
his networksolutions-bill or isn't it "en vogue" anymore to run snort
with daemontools? as far as i can see the link to the page above also
disappeared from the official snort-site.
