Hey Declan,

Just a quick note on the U.S. Postal Service sender ID requirement:

The agency released the following announcement today:

Statement of Vice President Pricing and Classification Stephen M.
Kearney

The Postal Service will withdraw a Federal Register notice because
its issuance has caused misunderstanding in some quarters.

"Sender-Identified Mail: Enhanced Requirement for Discount Rate
Mailings,"
a notice intended to clarify business customer information, will be
reissued.

I hear that now that they have withdrawn the notice, they are going
to reissue the exact same proposal without all the talk of
"Intelligent Mail." That, of course, does not alleviate the civil
liberties problems with sender ID.
