Subject: Law on personal integrity in working life

Declan,
I don't know if this interests the Politech readers, but you might find it
interesting nevertheless.

A Swedish committee today presented a draft for a law on protection of
personal integrity in working life. The proposed law deals with logging of
data, supervision of email and other technical and non-technical privacy
issues. As a point of departure, the draft law proposes the introduction
of a prohibition against the employer's reading employees' private e-mail
or other private electronic data.

Read the proposed law:

(PDF format, summary in English).

Regards

Mikael
