This weekend I put two Photo CDs online. Here's a photo of Roger Brooke Taney, the courageous fifth Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Taney challenged President Lincoln to uphold civil liberties (Taney unsuccessfully asserted the supremacy of civilian courts over military tribunals):
