the answer lay in your question-- not everyone has the same set of
ethics/best practices nor feels the need to conform to what you or any
group of others deem to be the most appropriate action for any given
set of circumstances. This is looking aside from the conjecture that
not everyone does their work because they want to inflate their ego
and see their name in lights; the only true gifts are the anonymous
ones.
