Just because you don't use any real names or describe specific scenarios in your "anonymous" disclosure doesn't mean you won't be identified. And that's really my point. For example, that offset you used or the shellcode you stole to write the PoC exploit for your client and the vendor are probably enough to point back to you. It might not be enough to convince a jury, but it doesn't have to be. All they have to be is suspicious. I am aware of a situation in which the employee of a VAR found a serious vuln in a large vendor's product. He worked exclusively with the vendor to report and test a fix for this vuln. During this (way too slow) process someone else found the bug and published to fd under a handle/nym. The large vendor turned around and started threatening the employee and his VAR because they thought he was involved. He was nearly fired, and it wasn't even his fault.
