Use XML, I currently use all the programs mention and XML works the best for what you are trying to do. -----Original Message----- From: pentesticle () yahoo com [mailto:pentesticle () yahoo com] Sent: Wednesday, April 19, 2006 10:49 AM To: pen-test () securityfocus com Subject: Which language for sorting scan results? Hello list, I was hoping to get a discussion going regarding sorting the results of the scans being conducted into a more usable format. I plan to run nmap, retina, and nessus scans and sort them into a single report sorted by IP to determine which vulnerabilities are on each device. Which programming language would be best for performing the compilation? I'm currnetly checking into Perl, but was looking at XML as well. Any recommendations and dicussion is greatly appreciated. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- This List Sponsored by: Cenzic Concerned about Web Application Security?
