Thank you for all your answers. We have found a
commercial product that greatly combines most
discovery techniques. As some of you said, it's no
worth trying to approach this task manually.

Also, this product automatically creates graphical
network maps based on its findings. This is very
useful to quickly develop and present results to
customers.
