nessus 3.0 doesnt seem to display any options for these tools? does nessus 3.0 still use these? how can there options be configured?

These plugins are still here. Just make sure these tools are in your path at the time you start nessusd. (try to do a 'nessusd -R' to force the reprocessing of these plugins, as maybe the tools were not in your path when you did the rpm install).
