We have been happy customers of Edgeos (http://www.edgeos.com) for
several years. They have scan technology that allows you to set up your
own internal scanners (on your own hardware) or external scanners by
just popping a CD into the CD drive and rebooting. They also do
automated external assessments and have a very nice reporting engine. I
can set up accounts for all my security analysts to do their own work.
They have a very reasonable monthly fee. Cost/benefit wise, they were a
much better solution IMHO.

Subject: QualysGuard - VA/PT appliance

http://www.qualys.com/products/qgcons/

We have are evaluating an appliance by Qualys, called QualysGuard that
purportedly "enables security auditors to scope and perform detailed
vulnerability assessments anytime, anywhere, using nothing more than a
Web browser."

Has anyone used this appliance? If so could you give me your feedback
on
the product?
