I am considering taking the Ethical Hacking course
tought by Intense School. Has anyone had experience
with this training program? If so, I would be very
interested in hearing your comments on the program.

Can't comment on the program as I know nothing about it, but have you considered some alternates?

If you have some C and perl experience, I would really recommend hanging around packetstormsecurity.org and doing alot of reading and playing around with the tools on there. Set yourself up with a linux or BSD box, maybe a couple of other boxes (ie windows), setup a little home network and go to town attacking things. If you don't have machines or any networking gear, then give VMware a try. Works great.

Without question, the best best way to learn how hacking works and how to do it, as with anything, is to use what people actually use and do what people actually do. It will take effort, yes, but there are no shortcuts. There is alot of good documentation out there and beginner guides as well. If you had the chutzpah to get your CISSP, then it shouldn't be too much for you.

Regards,
Byron Sonne
