Patrick,

nice to see that you just copied

www.isi.edu/in-notes/iana/assignments/icmp-parameters

but you should also add the rest of the document for the ICMP codes which
are definitely
important for analyzing log files or setting up accurate packet filters.

As far as the original question is concerned, I can only answer for cisco
routers:
most often ports 7,9,13,19 [tcp-small-servers],79 [admin forgot 'no service
finger'] & x001 [cisco specific] are open.
See www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/cisintwk/ics/cs003.htm.

Regards,

Enno Rey

look at www.whitefrog.com under tools, you will see ICMP, Known, and Trojan
ports. If anyone knows of anything that needs to be added to these let me
know.

Hi.
I serched lots of places but can't find a list of commonly ports used (open)
by default by network devices like routers, switches, etc.

Does any one knows if such a list exist in some place?

TIA and apologies for my poor english,
Estefania.
