I thought the Verisign class was worthy, lots of state-of-the-art tools and tips and resources that I use today. I had Taylor Banks or Tyler Banks, can't remember, great teacher. -----Original Message----- From: Oliver Petruzel [mailto:oliverpetruzel () EMAIL COM] Sent: Tuesday, October 17, 2000 12:39 PM To: PEN-TEST () SECURITYFOCUS COM Subject: Re: [PEN-TEST] FW: [PEN-TEST] Forensic analisys and related training Christopher wrote:

Ok, with that being said, we reach a point without direction... Where do we go from here?... Besides internal options within one's own company, who and where are the mid to sr level hacking classes? Both Foundstone, Inc., and SANS offer nice intro (read: script-kiddie) courses, but as observed, they do nothing for anyone who has been in pentesting for more than 3 months... (which is what i estimate to be the time it takes an NT/Unix admin to learn to be an effective "script kiddie" OJT). So for now, we can each go and get our wonderful certificates of completion for our employee file and office wall, but once that is completed, we've gained little to no new skills, and we have no level 200 to 500 courses to attend... hmm... solutions? does anyone here know of or sponsor a course themselves that goes beyond "click here to crash IIS..." intro courses? ./Oliver P.
