Question on OpenWRT and openvpn

I figured this was a good place to ask openwrt questions since Paul and
Larry are the authors of the Linksys WRT54G Ultimate Hacking Guide.

I am running OpenWRT on a WRT54GL. It's running Kamikazee 8.09. I tried
installing openvpn and all its libraries but it fails.

I looked at the file system and it seems that the root file system is full
and the /tmp is only 20% used.

I am thinking I need more flash to run this thing. Its only really going to
be used for:

pppoe
ddns changing
openvpn server
wireless ap.

Do I need a router with more flash? If so, recommendations? ASUS WL500?
